Ralph Robertson Obituary, Death – We mourn Speedwell, Tennessee citizen Ralph Arnold Robertson. Ralph, born June 22, 1926, died peacefully at 97 on December 26, 2023. His legacy and impact on everyone he encountered will be remembered. Ralph accepted Christ in 1994 at 68 in his house. This spiritual metamorphosis guided his personality and relationships. Ralph and Magdalene’s store and values were famous. They worked hard to build a community center and preserve Appalachia’s history.
Ralph and John Ward used Ralph’s recollections to weave a tapestry that connected generations and preserved the region. Ralph’s stories and knowledge outside of work impacted people worldwide. His neighborhood was his biggest impact. People exchanged stories, laughs, and anecdotes in his company. Ralph had land and fished beside his company. His love of nature showed his respect for basic pleasures. Farming or fishing, Ralph sought peace in nature. Ralph was predeceased by his beloved wife of 70 years, Magdalene Rogers Robertson, his parents, Jonah and Hallie Robertson, son-in-law Doug Murphy, and three grandsons, Steven Murphy and Brad Greer.
Their loved ones will never forget. His gorgeous daughters, Donna (Don) Williams, Frances Murphy, Pat (Bill) Shumate, Betty (Joe) Evans, Joy Robertson, and Lesia (Brad) Walker, survive him. Grandchildren Sherry (Kevin) Ingle, Mark Williams, Cindy (Tim) Siler, and Tarah (Luke) Keck Shuran join great-grandchildren Jeremy (Kenzie) Siler, Savannah Siler, Halle Rowland, and Brighton Shuran Family, friends, and great-great-grandchildren Bentley and Jaxton Siler continue the legacy.
