DMx’s father, being an artist, used to paint and sell them at local fairs. Later, DMX’s father moved out of his life and went to Philadelphia. Career
After Earl Simmons’s mother forcefully sent him again to the group home, he met students who were from New York. They bonded over hip hop music and Simmons started performing and writing music for friends and teachers. And, thus his music career started.
In 1984, when he was 14 years old, he met Ready Ron, who was a local rapper and asked him to beatbox for him. They became partners. But, soon he had to go to prison for stealing a dog. When he was released he started performing for young children.
