No arrests have been made after a 10-year-old girl was killed in a car crash in Mountain Brook Saturday.
The Mountain Brook Police Department said the crash happened near the Mountain Brook Club.
The girl, identified by the Jefferson County Coroner as Annabelle Mullican, was taken to the hospital but was later pronounced dead.
Police said an officer saw a white SUV traveling at a high rate of speed on Old Leeds Road. After the SUV turned onto Cherokee Road, the officer turned on their emergency lights and siren in their marked patrol vehicle in an attempt to conduct a traffic stop.

As the SUV continued at a high rate of speed, police said an occupant threw two items out of a driver’s side window, and within seconds, the SUV crashed in the 3400 block of Cherokee Road at approximately 5:26 p.m.
Police said an adult woman and another juvenile girl were injured and transported to the hospital as well.
