According to Oakley, California officials, Marshall Curtis Jones, 27, was wanted for the disappearance of Alexis Gabe, 24, his ex-girlfriend, who was last seen on Jan. 26. Jones was slain in Kent during an arrest attempt.

On June 1, officers in Oakley and Antioch issued a warrant for Marshall Curtis Jones’ arrest in Kent, Washington. Gabe, 24, went missing in January 2022, and the 27-year-old was accused of his murder.

Jones was the last person she saw before she vanished, and she was last seen at his home on Benttree Way in Antioch.

According to authorities, Alexis Gabe was the victim of a homicide. The perpetrator, her ex-boyfriend, was shot and killed after a confrontation with law officers on Wednesday in a Seattle suburb.

Gabe, a resident of Oakley, has been missing for over five months. On Jan. 26, the 24-year-old was last spotted in Antioch.

The whereabouts of Gabe’s body were not immediately known. During a news conference in Oakley on Thursday, officials revealed further details but stressed that the hunt for her is still underway. They went on to say that forensic, technological, and DNA evidence proved Gabe was murdered and that her previous lover, Marshall Curtis Jones, 27, was to blame.

Meanwhile, Seattle police said a warrant was served at a property in Kent, Washington, where they suspected a “fugitive wanted for murder” was hiding out. Jones came out of the house wielding a knife when they knocked and identified themselves, authorities claimed, and a police detective, a sheriff’s deputy, and a U.S. Marshal shot him.

Jones was pronounced dead at the scene. According to authorities, the Antioch resident stayed with a friend who lived at the house.

He’s thought to be the lone suspect in Gabe’s death, but he may have received assistance in covering up her death after it occurred.
