Aldi Easter Candy to Fill Your Basket This Year

Aldi Easter candy may not have the name recognition of Jelly Belly jellybeans, Whoppers Robin Eggs, or Cadbury Creme Eggs (oops, I’m drooling), but, dammit, there’s a lot to be said for off-brand candy that’s high quality and cheap as all hell. If there’s one thing Aldi consistently does right, it’s European chocolate. That makes it an essential stop this time of year, when the Aldi Finds aisle is filled with chocolate eggs, chocolate rabbits, and, okay, even more chocolate eggs. There may be no mention of Reese’s or Cadbury on this list, but there will sure as hell be a lot of mentions of Choceur (iykyk). Here’s some of the most intriguing Easter candy at Aldi this year.

Among the Aldi Easter candy, you’ll find both these little peanut butter-filled bunnies and a large peanut butter-filled bunny. Big chocolate Easter bunnies have always seemed unwieldy to me, so I’m in favor of the smaller version. And, really, how can you go wrong with chocolate and peanut butter? These things are cute, but are they too cute to eat? Highly, highly doubtful.

White chocolate deserves justice! I know I literally just said I’m opposed to large, unwieldy hunks of chocolate, but as soon as I see white chocolate, my brain goes blank and I go into attack mode. If you can’t get enough white chocolate in your life and want something festive for Easter, this sprinkle-speckled bunny head seems like an easy pick. (Oh and there’s a milk chocolate version, too, if you must.)

Of all the Aldi Easter candy I saw, these little eggs are the most intriguing find. They’re fancy. They’re filled with milk creme or cookies and cream creme (my personal favorite). And they come with a cute little spoon to dig out the creme?! It’s like you’re a little prince or princess eating an egg out of a ceramic egg cup. Put your pinky up and dig in.

A lot of Easter chocolate is not good. Like, where are companies getting all this cheap, waxy junk? Do better! Well, as we’ve established, we truly trust Aldi to do better, even when it comes to less flashy items like little chocolate bunnies. Plus, they’re only $2.99. This is the perfect Aldi Easter candy to pad out an Easter basket filled with the good stuff or to hand out at work if you want to seem like a cool, fun coworker.

Speaking of the good stuff, this is it. These chocolate truffle eggs come in a bunch of flavors—strawberry rhubarb, raspberry cream, sea salt caramel, mousse au chocolat, orange vanilla, and coconut—plus, they’re truffles so they instantly And for what it’s worth, they’re a dollar more than the chocolate bunnies I just dunked on.

If you’re into letting fate decide what dwells within your chocolate eggs, grab the aptly named “chocolate surprise egg.” What exactly is inside? The package promises European assorted chocolates. Okay, so not much of a surprise, but still fun, right?

Everyone loves a good Easter egg hunt. But you know what makes for a bad Easter egg hunt? Plastic eggs filled with loose change (did anyone else experience this as a child?). Keep your nickels and pennies in that jar collecting dust in the den, and fill some eggs with these chocolate coins instead. They taste way better than nickels!
